It has been the practice at past NASPH conferences to select a short text that interested participants can gather to discuss informally during one of the lunch breaks. This year our text, suggested by Prof. Westphal, is Paul Ricoeur's "The Hermeneutical Function of Distanciation," which can be found in Hermeneutics and the Human Sciences, ed/tr Thomson (Cambridge 1981).
